Wine Mountains, a local restaurant in Pinetop, Arizona– a region known as the “White
Mountains”– has released their first signature Private Label Arizona wine called “Ruby Red.”
In the grand tradition of Old Bordeaux, this wine comprises a fruit-forward, rich-flavored blend of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from grapes in Willcox, Arizona. Ruby Red’s component wines were aged 24-months in new French oak barriques prior to blending. The wine is full-bodied, loaded with blackberry, currant, and spicy notes of cassis and fruit licorice. Ruby Red pairs
wonderfully with strong-flavored dishes such as roasted lamb, bold cheeses and hearty winter stews.
“We are so excited to present a wine that reflects our Community’s personality,” says Jay Zucker, co-owner, along with his wife Debra Zucker, of Wine Mountains. Opened only three months ago, Wine Mountains had listened to their Guests to understand what they are
looking for in a quality wine. Thus, the creation of the Ruby Red label.
“Here, at 7,000 feet elevation, grapes do not produce and we do not
have the winemaking facilities within our location,” Zucker continues,
“so, it was a natural to partner with the amazing folks of Flying Leap
Vineyards in Sonoita, Arizona for the creation of Ruby Red."
